About Rae Cavanagh

My Background

My initial training led me to work in the pharmaceutical industry. Motherhood was the moment everything in my life quietly rearranged itself. It asked me to slow down, to listen inward, and to meet parts of myself I had been too busy to notice. In that slowing, I realised that the corporate world I had spent years building a career in no longer felt like a place where I could breathe fully. I was capable, successful, and doing everything I was “supposed” to do — yet something in me felt increasingly unfulfilled, as though I had stepped out of alignment with my own life.

That inner shift became a doorway. As I began to question the shape of the life I was living, I found psychosynthesis — a therapeutic approach that recognises our many layers, our contradictions, and our deep capacity for growth. It offered language for something I had always sensed: that we are more than our roles, our achievements, or the versions of ourselves we’ve learned to perform.

My Ethos

I am a trainee therapist and I work from the belief that we grow in the same way living things do — from the richness of our own mud. The places we feel stuck, heavy, confused, or collapsed are not signs of failure; they are the fertile ground where something new begins to take shape. In my practice, I support people to turn toward these deeper layers with warmth and curiosity, trusting that what feels dark or tangled often holds the roots of transformation and find your inner sunlight.

I offer a place where you can soften, breathe, and begin to accept your wholeness — not as something to strive for, but as something already present, waiting to be met. Whether you’re navigating old wounds, new transitions, or the quiet ache of wanting more from your life, we work gently with what’s here, allowing growth to happen in its own time.

My role is to walk alongside you as you root into yourself, rise toward the light, and rediscover the parts of you that have always known how to grow.
